ownCloud – with legacy support App Reviews

Great app & execution. Works great. Two-factor authentication w the qr code style timed would be great. How do I enable thumbnails & gallery in the app? I have no clue what the pictures are...

This app works in a pinch, but is missing key functions that would make it much more useful. A search function is an absolute must-have, using a local database to keep things speedy. TouchID integration would be nice to have, as would spotlight integration to search for files from my home screen. Will have to see how I can contribute to development.

Id love to see this app continually improve as there is so much more it could do. TouchID is a must and its so simple to implement on iOS.

Its ok, it works but has too many limitations. 1) location service is always on chews up my battery. I dont know why it has to be always on. 2) upload automatic should have a option for wi-fi only 3) no thumbnail view for pictures. Get these items fixed and you will get a better review. I would not purchase the way it is now.

Lots of essential features are still missing. Please keep improving it and I will change my rating.

Credentials bug breaks InstantUpload hack, owncloud devs blame iOS. Upload failures dont attempt a retry, or offer a manual option, leaving you to guess whether or not you have a copy of your pictures on your server. Regardless of your Internet connection speed, or the performance of your server, the app will frequently fail to download a file.

owncloud is pretty amazing. While I wish the app was free, I know the purchase is supporting a terrific, high quality open source project!

Does not even work. It crashes the second I click on anything.

The whole own cloud system is amazing for it being free. I was more than happy to pay .99¢ for the app. Owncloud 9 has some improvements, and Im excited to see more improvements coming up.

Once you download something from the app. It stays on your phone memory and then you have the option to delete it from the phone or from both the phone and server. The app is fast and very responsive when navigating.

Ive been looking for a solid personal cloud server I could run on my home server, and so far Ive tried Tonido and ownCloud. ownClouds app is missing some key features, namely disabling automatic photo uploads on cellular data, and having the option to browse your photos with a larger thumbnail. The existing thumbnail is so tiny I cant see what the picture is.

It worked great out of the box, then I learned there no way to select all pictures, had to choose them manually, over 1000. Once upload was done, a few hours later learned that only 200 were uploaded.

I like the app very much and use it daily. I am looking forward to more features (better thumbnails browsing pictures, "delete all cached data" button, etc..)

My owncloud server is on a private network IP address not accessible over the Internet. This app refuses to accept an explicit IP address for the server. Why?

Has everything I was looking for. Selective downloads helps manage storage on the iPhone. TouchID enables security. Syncs fast. Well worth the cost for owncloud users.
